When this line was announced, LEGO fans knew there were going to be some fan favorites in the series. No set released so far in this line could represent this better than The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape.

This set was sold out the first day it went on sale. Currently, if you want one, you’ll have to be placed on a back-order waiting list or contemplate paying a premium price just to get your hands on it.

Building The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape, a LEGO Super Heroes Set

This model consists of building a Batcycle and the funhouse that the villains use. The cycle is rather blocky in nature. It has a few interesting elements thrown on, but it really looks like a brick with wheels on each end.

With that said, it is extremely durable. You can practically throw the cycle across the room and expect that most of it will stay intact. It’s also built for any terrain. Find the roughest patch of ground and Batman will power over it with his trusty bike.

The funhouse is a different story. Most of its design comes via stickers. Each villain has a particular trap associated with their image. For this reason, the funhouse is mostly open with numerous play areas. LEGO did throw in a fortune teller machine with the Riddler’s head, but the majority of the set is rather basic in nature.

Playing with The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape, a LEGO Super Heroes Set

Now you get to the real value in the set other than the minifigures. Things start off with a nice arch that the Batcycle can drive through. Then you can move past the barrel with the dangerous fish, up the stairs and onto the pit trap.

If you manage to get past the pit you can help Robin who is dangling over the dangerous fishy barrel. Robin is now free to join Batman on the tilting floor.

If they keep their balance, they can then make it to Harley’s giant mallet. This should knock the heroes out, but if not, they can jump onto Joker’s little clown car.

Push the plunger and watch them fly down the ramp. They’ll bust through Joker’s smiling sign and stop safely on the tracks. However, the Dynamic Duo has to watch out for the villains who may be creeping around every corner of this demented funhouse.

Interesting Parts of The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape, a LEGO Super Heroes Set

The narrow track pieces make a nice play element for any creation. To help things along, the large cones that make up Harley’s hammer are also nice to have. You may also find some use for the string with studs on the ends or the modified lift arm that features two studs on one end. The other cool parts are the sloped bar railing and the modified lift arms that hold the Batcycle’s wheels on. Plus the large barrel is nice too.

Sadly, the rest of the elements are basic. You’d be surprise how much personality comes from the stickers in this set. Make sure you’re building with a steady hand since some of these stickers are hard to line up and even harder to get off after a certain point.
