The white ninja soars through the air with his gold winged glider in this rare LEGO Ninjago set. Read on to find out whether it's worth the hunt to find it.

Ninjago polybag sets are often filled with interesting elements. The Ninja Glider is a good example of this. Not only does it have these great pieces, but the build is fun and fits nicely with other Ninjago sets.

Building Ninja Glider, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The set is not the most stable creation. However, since it is small and LEGO was going for looks over function, the design is adequate. The glider hinges upon a central frame. LEGo was nice enough to give a fairly sturdy design for this portion. The weak point comes in the wings.

A little rough play can wear at these pieces much faster than other models. However, if you avoid throwing it around and crashing into other models, you should have a glider that lasts for some time.

Playing with Ninja Glider, a LEGO Ninjago Set

This glider has relatively little in the way of action elements. You can adjust the wings to get the look just right and it’s fairly easy to take the ninja off the glider. The main play feature will involve running around swooping the model through the air then landing behind enemy lines.

Interesting Parts of Ninja Glider, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The most obvious elements that you’d want are the pearl gold scimitars that make up the wings of the glider. This is followed by the pearl gold mech arms that help hold the blades onto the glider. From there you might be interested in the tan droid bodies that make up a lot of the glider’s core. Beyond that, there’s little left to the glider besides the ninja. This means there is a good ratio of nice elements that will make it worth your while.

Minifigures in Ninja Glider, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The only minifigure in this set is Zane, the ninja of ice. He comes with white hips and legs. The legs feature a gray belt with black markings. His torso is white with a gray undershirt, gold medallion, and overall martial arts gi pattern. His arms are white with black hands. His head has a stern expression with a straight line for a mouth. On his head, he wears a white ninja wrap with a clip on the back to hold a weapon.

Recommendations

As with all polybag sets, this will probably be difficult to find. Currently, secondary sellers are probably the most reliable way to get your hands on sets like these. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make it easy to buy them for parts since you’ll be paying a premium.
