With LEGO's new booster packs for the Ninjago spinner game, it's cheaper than ever to modify your existing spinners with new characters and cards.

Trying to get all the spinners in the Ninjago line can get a bit pricey. Thankfully LEGO has created booster packs. These sets allow you to grab any spinner and simply play with a different character. This saves a lot of money in the long run.

This article breaks down what you can expect from Jay ZX. Surprisingly it has been one of the more popular booster pack sets released. The following article will show why that might be the case.

Minifigure(s) in Jay ZX, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The only minifigure in this set is Jay ZX. He has blue hips and legs with a sash painted on the legs. His torso is blue with a wrap design and shoulder pouch painted on the front. The back continues the design with Jay’s personal crest in the center of his back. His left arm is blue while the right arm is in light bluish gray. He also has black hands. His head features a stern expression with one eyebrow scarred. He also wears a blue ninja head wrap with a three point emblem on the forehead and flat silver shoulder pads that also have a sheath mechanism that can hold two swords.

Weapons in Jay ZX, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The most basic weapon is a pearl light gray katana. Next there is a spear that you create with a reddish brown 6 long bar, black light saber hilt, and pearl light gray sai. His gold weapon is another brick built design. If features a serrated saw blade with two crescent-shaped serrated blades attached to it. All of these pieces are in pearl gold.

Rules in Brief

Start by having two opponents in a ring. Each opponent will have a total of three weapons. The objective is to knock off your enemy from their spinner. If you do so, take their weapon. When you have all three of their weapons you win.

Extras in Jay ZX, a LEGO Ninjago Set

The extras in this set include everything you need for the card Fast as Lightning. It comes with a round two-by-two brick with ridged edges. There are also two transparent neon-green cones that hold the two blue straight spike blades. Finally, there are three wings with pin hole connectors. These attach to three Technic pins that are roughly ¾ of a full sized pin.

Game Options: 3.5 out of 5 Studs. This is a nice affordable way to expand your spinner game.

Worth the Price: 4.5 out of 5 Studs. There are some really nice elements when it comes to the weapons in this set.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 Studs. This set gives you good pieces at a nice price while giving you more things to do with your spinner game.

Recommendations

Considering the price, sets like Jay ZX will probably be the first to go out of stock. Now is the perfect time to get your hands on them. Just remember to expect close to the same content as you would find in the spinners.
